Tonight is my last night in Sydney and I’ve been slacking off again in the blogging sense. I must be more strict with myself OTL Bags have been packed but I’m still trying to shove in some extra things. I’m actually under my 30kg weight limit for my checked in suitcase but it’s seriously going to burst at the seams at some point. Oh dear ^^; It’s so surreal trying to pack your life into a couple of suitcases for an entire year, and before that seeing literally *everything* on your floor. That was fun. I still believe that I’ve forgotten a few things. But oh well.
I guess I should introduce the above bear. Over the holidays I picked up a new hobby: crocheting. Specifically amigurumi, which is the art of crocheting small stuffed toys. I don’t believe it’s very hard and I get a lot of enjoyment out of making these toys come to life. I’ve crocheted about 12 whales or sharks to give to close friends as a token of friendship 🙂
The bear currently does not have a name (no, it is NOT Pedo Bear). I think it reminds me of the Brown Bear from the number of LINE messaging mascots, to be quite honest. I’m leaning towards a Japanese male name for it…if you have any suggestions, please feel free to drop a comment 😀
He’s not the only one coming with me; I crocheted another cute animal to come with me 😀
Meet Jessica Rabbit, the female bunny. I made this as a set and a special friend of mine has the male one. Just to clear things up, the difference in size is due to the type of yarn I used lol
I’ve said my farewells, some a lot harder that others but all the same I’m going through a number of emotions ranging from sadness to pure adrenaline and excitement. I can’t wait to experience a whole new world (literally) and hopefully grow as a person. A group of my friends actually got together to get be a stunning Swarovski picture frame. It is stunning but I actually can’t take it with me >< Mainly due to the weight and bulky-ness and the fact that I would be extremely sad if anything were to happen to it during transit QAQ Another 2 gave me a care package ^^
So here I say so long to Sydney. I can’t guarantee that it’s going to be an easy ride from here on but I’m going to give it my best shot and have the time of my life. And then I think of all the things I’m going to have to do once I land in Japan XD; And now I’ll be on my way, spending my last night in Sydney chatting to friends and watching Jeux d’enfants, which was recommended to me by Rogiraffe. He’s been bugging me for months to watch it now so I might as well do it now 🙂
Until we meet again in Japan~
